Night at the Museum returns to the Markham Museum grounds in July and August. On four different summer nights, bring your lawn chairs and watch a family-friendly movie under the stars. YORK REGION COMPOSTER SALE – UNTIL JULY 6, 2025
York Region residents can order a backyard composter online for only $35 each. Price includes home delivery and tax. Composters often retail for over $100 each. Composting guides will be provided with your composter to help with installation and use.

RECYCLE YOUR BICYCLE PROGRAM

MARKHAM FIREWORKS REGULATIONS
Keep Markham safe by following fireworks rules. Setting off fireworks on private property with permission of the owner is permitted only four times per year: the day before Victoria Day, on Victoria Day, the day before Canada Day, and on Canada Day. Outside of these dates, a permit must be obtained from the City. Fireworks are prohibited on any City property, including parks and sportsfields. Click below for more information.
