MARKHAM BY-LAW DEPARTMENT COMMUNITY TIPS – SPRING EDITION

Help keep our community safe, clean, and welcoming:

  • Clear gutters and storm drains to help prevent flooding,
  • Keep yards tidy and free of debris,
  • Drive carefully and watch for children playing,
  • Keep toys, plants, and structures off roads and ensure they don’t block visibility.

This group of Municipal Law Enforcement Officers is dedicated to helping keep our neighbourhoods safe, clean, and welcoming. The team conducts proactive patrols and responds to community concerns while managing encampments in a respectful and professional manner. This initiative reflects Markham’s commitment to a safe, inclusive, and well-cared-for community. YORK REGIONAL POLICE – OPPORTUNITY TO CLAIM ITEMS RECOVERED IN PROJECT PAYDAY

Investigators with the York Regional Police Integrated Property Crime Task Force are releasing images of stolen property recovered as a result of Project Payday. Click below for more information. Anyone who was a victim of a residential break and enter between October 2025 and February 2026 is asked to please review the photos and contact police if any of the items belong to you.

YORK REGIONAL POLICE – PUBLIC WARNING OF CAMERAS USED FOR SCOUTING RESIDENTIAL BREAK AND ENTERS

York Regional Police is warning the public after two incidents in which cameras were used to scout residences prior to committing residential break and enters.

Two incidents were reported in Vaughan after cameras and battery packs were located on residential properties, disguised with camouflage. Homeowners are encouraged to be aware of this crime technique and to report any suspicious people, items, or activity to police. For more information, click below.
